Ok Ive just been thinking maybe I shouldn't have used the word overrated what I mean is thease are albums that got the most talk when other albums by these artist were completly forgotten.
Revolver was the best Beatles album ever but they still rate sgy peppers as the best

I agree that "Revolution #9" is NOT a good song, but it is anyway one track out of 30 on the same album: IMHO, all the other songs are good and some are really excellent.Quote:

It also indeed contributes to create one of the most heterogeneous album ever published.
By the way, some musicians I know appreciate "Revolution #9" and consider it being the beginning of the Minimal genre in Rock music and i.e. the original inspiration for Robert Fripp's Frippertronics experiments.
