using a vpn might work if the port is open, that's a possibility to explore
you much more complex than using a vpn(i think...), so far many people have asked this and from what i've gathered, a seedbox seems to be the sure and foolproof method, i dk if anything else works...
It said no FTP so i dunno
Plus the 2GB a day bandwith is a killer :S
if it does not allow to dload torrents, the best way i think is to talk to admin. i had the same prob at my colledge and i ddnt find any normal way to solve that. so only after meeting with an admin and talk to him i got torrents access. and i dont think that 2 gb per day is too little, for torrents yes, but colledge is for study, isnt it?
Get ur own internet :)
VPN don't work too...
try rapidshare, p2p and ftp is not allowed, i think in all university's.
they make that for not remain with the server load...
with uTorrent, bicomet,....don`t work
I use azureus
It depends on what you want, if you want to keep a ratio but not download much then a server is a perfect option. However i can see no viable way of circumventing the 2GB limit.
You could easily get past torrent blocking by using ftp or vpn (Relakks is good and cheap) but as it's a global 2GB limit on your connection then there is simply no way around it. Even if you stream from a server it's still going to take up a large chunk of bandwidth.
You'd perhaps be best to contact the admin and either be truthful and say you want to watch a load of tv (Legit) or you experiment with linux distros and the 2GB limit is screwing you over.
