Uhm, do you have a 3.5 inch dvd-rom then?
Usually they need a 5.25 inch enclosure, you know, 'cos of space not being curved enough to fit that big a volume in so little of it.
But if you are wondering about whether you can buy something similar which your dvd-rom will fit in, then yes, there are 5.25 enclosures too.
Not sure about slimline dvd-roms if that's what you have, though.
You should buy a Plextor, then.Quote:

For instance...I am able to burn copies of DVDs that haven't been created yet.
Let's see the RIAA get me for that.

Incidentally, I could fit a cd in a 3.5 slot.
But it was just the cd, not the drive, and I kinda' broke the cd :(
Had to make sure, though
well...of coz i dun have a 3.5" dvdrom
but suppose say i use the back of my external enclosure (which contains all the cables and etc) to connect to my 5.25" dvdrom, will the dvdrom be functional?

I think it will work, the interface would be the same.
In theory, as clocker says.
