Forgot to include... no mail-in rebates. Hate waiting 6-8 weeks to get my money back :p
I checked the reviews on the 8-cube and alot of people are reporting no dead pixels.
I see you are over the 5k mark VB :)

Re: Which LCD should I get?
I wouldn't buy an LCD that I couldn't see in person first.
Product specs cannot give you the same info that your actual eyes can provide.
That said, I realize not everyone has the luxury of comparative viewing so....
IMO, for general usage, the most important spec to look for is viewing angle.
There is nothing worse than being locked into a narrow range of position just to see the screen properly.
My screen for instance, has a viewing angle of 170 degrees, both up/down and side/side.
That's about as good as it gets.
New screens (Samsungs I believe) have dropped the response times to sub-5ms range which would be nice, assuming the view angle doesn't suffer in the process ( I haven't seen one yet).
As always, prices will continue to drop, so waiting a while longer might be worth it.
Re: Which LCD should I get?
One word of advice, when cleaning a LCD screen do not use a liquid as (from experience :frusty: )the screen absorbs it..Whoops.
Anyone got any advice on the best way to clean an LCD screen :)
