How Do I Split Avi Files

I need to know how to split avi files and some free software 2 do it with some avi files are 2 big 2 put on a cd and a dont have a dvd writer please help

Easy Video Splitter is probably the best to use IMO...and can be obtained from kazaa...
virtualdub is good as well but not as easy for new users...
