generally (out of personal experience) it is not a good idea, but i need to see the deal first.
the motherboard is a Pc chips 848LU board with an amd Athlon xp 2600+ processor and fan. and its running at about $170. what do you think.
Please Keep In Mind that Im new to this and Im also A complete Idiot.

Choose another motherboard like the Asus A7N8X or Gigabyte GA-7N400-L and get the AMD Athlon XP 2500+ Retail boxed version.
Virtual Are The Boards You Recomended Expensive. And Have You Had Experience With Them. Are they God? sorry for all the Questions.
The CPU is $80 & the mobos ~$100 that VB reco'd. The CPU Ihave is great & ASUS if not the best is rt up there. Much better quality than the pos mobo in that combo.
Yea mate dont get a pcchips board ,,one of the worst boards abt,shit :)
just wanna add, dont buy ECS either...
gigabyte, asus, and abit are good. there are a few other good ones too, but stay away from the cheap ones like ecs and pc chips.
