Does packet loss result in slower speeds or receiving bad data?
For example if I'm downloading an mp3, does packet loss diminish the speed i get the file, or the actual quality of it?

How do you know your experiencing packet loss?
I was playing the Unreal Tournament 2004 demo. If you press F1 youc an see information. Everyone had a number next to "PL"
I'm no expert on this 'tinternet stuff but I'm guessing that a UT2004 demo ain't the best way to test if you are expereiencing packet loss. And doesn't the 'PL' level on that game stand for Ping Level?Quote:
