Do you really need a 150GB raptor? i'd just get a 74GB and use it for Operating system and games, but whatever..

alright, but the case looks fugly.. this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811133154 = definetely something to instantly let others know how beefed up your pc is.
i plan on getting an upgrade that hopefully wont cost more than 550$ (god, the ram prices are a bitch!!)
Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 Conroe http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115005
GIGABYTE GA-965P-DS3 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128012
Crucial Technology 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 667 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820148017
I've read that this ram can do 1000mhz at 4-4-4-12.

I see no power supply in the list and would strongly advise against the P180 case.
I'll grant that the Antec case is quieter than most but it's thermal capabilities are awful and the assembly/cable routing is atrocious.
If you insist on that case, pay very special attention to your motherboard layout and the length of the cabling on your PSU.

Yeah, I can personally attest to the cabling aspect, I had to buy cable extenders for my psu. The psu goes at the bottom with just a small hole to pull all the cables through you need for the board.
I get good temps with the fans on low though and it does look nice. :ermm:
Edit: One other shit about the case is that you need to open the door to get to the power switch and reset switch.

Ok, I added my psu, I'm looking at the Rosewill, do you know if it's any good, also what case do you recommend? Is that case Formula 1 recommended (badass case tho, I already did look at it, it is just a little pricey for my budget) somewhat quiet, or if not are there any other good cases to look at?
@Cheese - Yeah I noticed the power and reset button, damn.
@Formula 1 - Those memory prices are fucked up but I'm not waiting any longer.
Re: Complete new computer components finally to be ordered by end of week!
Ok, I updated the whole list! Brace yourselves!!!
Re: Complete new computer components finally to be ordered by end of week!
ROFL, i'd avoid that rosewill psu for your own good. it doesnt even support sli for fucks sake.

this ocz seems delicate, it can support 2x 7800gtx 512mb's!

and BTW why would you need 3x pci-e slots? the third slot operate at 8x speed instead of 16x.. and where does it say p965's aren't great for ocing???.. this board http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128012, can easily overclock an e6300 from 1.86ghz to 3.3ghz easily...
