what do you need to do
use a good firewall, change your port number from time to time (but usually use 2464, its the best yet), and most important of all,
DONT worry my friend!!!
keep sharing, you will be just fine B) :)
tralalala
is norton good enough?? and how do you change your port ,what advantages does this have?Quote:

Merely a firewall is NOT enough.
The music industry can use P2P program, download from you and get your IP,and your firewall WILL NOT block P2P traffic(you won't let it,will you?)
You should also hide behind a anonymous proxy.
the only protection you need is just to check off all those little boxes under the Kazaa Lite K++ options. Your chances of getting cought are slim to none. And if you happen to get cought, then you must be on Gods hate list or sumthing.
Who is this God person ?Quote:

Is he employed by the Goon Squads ? :P
There is no real protection. You take your chances
Unless you use a POS like Kazaa Lite which supports no real proxy servers, a high-control anonymous proxy will do you nicely.
Still, the chances of being caught on K-lite are lower then regular kazaa...thanks to their not getting a big list of files with the privacy patch on (so you may get sued for a few songs, not around 5000)
you want to know how to be completely safe, ok i will tell you this is the only way aside from not sharring, pay an over seas proxy server 400$ a year and go thru them, other wise there is no safe way and iraa grabbs your ip when you come out to share so firewall will not do crap :gun:
