Hmm, one user... Well, I do remember getting getting 115 once downloading a movie. ;)
If you're downloading from a single user at >60KB/sec, chances are it's NOT an ordinary cablemodem/DSL user. Most Cablemodem/DSL connections only have ~15KB/sec max upload speeds, and even the faster ones seldom have more than 30KB/sec max upload speeds.
It's possibly a T-1 or faster line with only 1-5 uploads allowed at a time... and all the other uploads are to 56k users. :P
I had once 215.81kb
once i uploaded a file at 60 KB to one user and i've seen 100 KB
I once got a *cough*pr0n movie*cough* off of one user at like 220 or so kB/s it got done in no time at all :)
And most cable modems, in the USA at least, can upload at 32 kB/s max that's how fast mine goes but i don't like using the max upload with kazaa thoug cause it kills my download bandwidth
getting 1 at 112kbps as im typing this on a pc game called dirt track racing 2
username
garylewis@kazaa
wonder if thats any1 on this board
165/kbps sometimes... where do they get these speeds?
I wonder what their download speed is????????? :o
my fastest dl was 780mb in 15 mins.........
when i went to make coffee it was comming down at 2.8mbps.
i didnt believe it of course untill i played the whole movie through. shocked the hell out of me.
i usually get speeds of between 0.1kbps and 4-500kbps. just lucky i guess.
then again, i do have uni-LAN.
kodek 1000
well as i have cable, all it takes is another cable user to get a fast download. mine is definetly not 15k max...Quote:

I've had speeds of about 150KB/s from one user, when downloading Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
As for my own upload speeds, the fastest I have ever seen was using ftp (102 KB/s), Rat Faced has gotten upwards of 80KB/s from me on ftp. In SoulSeek, highest I have seen was 75KB/s, and IRC, about 60KB/s. I've never been able to upload to a single user in K-Lite at over 70KB/s, but that just may be the people downloading from me.
My max upload is supposed to be 1mbps (128KB/s). I've never seen that to one user, but if you combine SS, BitTorrent and K-Lite (which most times I have running simultaneously), it would probably add up to that.
It kills your download speed because 32KB/sec is your total upload bandwidth -- not how fast Kazaa can upload. You have to have a couple KB/sec to spare if you're downloading >100KB/sec. :DQuote:

If you set your uploads to 220-240 kilobits/sec, you should be ok for web surfing so long as your downloads aren't really high.
My ComCast ISP cablemodem was only recently given a speed increase from 128kbps to 256kbps, and I've heard about many on DSLs that still only have 128kbps.<!--QuoteBegin--kAb@5 April 2003 - 13:45

Of course you may be one of the rare, lucky people with 1 Mbps upload bandwidth cablemodem ISPs -- then you could upload at just over 100 KB/sec.

I knew that (thanx anyway though :) ) and I do that, right now i have kazaa set to 216 kbps for upload and i can still download and browse just fine
And I am soon to be Comcast whenever we get transitioned from AT&T Broadband, which i think should be in the next month or so here :)
MOST bandwidth tests ONLY measure download bandwidth -- I'm asking what your upload bandwidth.Quote:

almost all the porn has 20k and up, nothing less pleaseing.
from 1 user i had 4 downloads all going over 40kB/s, so over 160kB/s total.
i messaged him and told him he ruled.
he replied: "i know"
so i proceeded to rape his badass connection for the next several hours.
i dunno where these guys get connects like that., i just know fasttrack needs more of em.
that's true pr0n usually gets good speed, but i didnt' have 20 kB/s, I had 220 kB/s or so :DQuote:

It stands to reason that porn would dl faster what with all the lubrication involved...
I had one going up to 195 kb/s (hanna@kazaa), got a screenie but dunno how to post, better read some manuals on the forum
