Dunno' about the latest gen cards, but the 9800XT handles antialiasing better than a comparable NVIDIA card, I think :unsure: At least it looks that way to me.
If they've stayed true to form I reckon they'll make for a smoother picture. I still prefer NVIDIA, 'cos their drivers aren't as buggy, and their linux-support doesn't suck balls, but ati cards can certainly make games look nice.
Cool, My friend has a 9600XT which isnt great but on his 2.8 ghz compaq It gets some good fps on Counter-Stirke Source. This may sound stupid but because of that im goin for an ATI based card,the X800PRO for my new comp (PCI-E). Hopefully I wont be dissapointed. :unsure:
no. ati cards this gen suck. trust me. the only thing your going to beat nvidia in is hl2. thats it. and the funny part, is the 6600gt beats the x700 from nvidia in hl2.
