any input on pg2? What is it?
yep same here, downloads only ads goverment and spyware but p2p not
Depends, there are/were 2 versions for a while after some sort of fight over control of it.
Get the correct PG2 (its now beta6) from http://sourceforge.net/projects/peerguardian/ and install after you have removed the previous PG2 and made sure that the PG2 installation directory is empty [C:\Program Files\PeerGuardian2 is the default]. Make sure you are not doing any p2p when you do this...
Run the PG2 update and if yours tries to contact sourceforge.net/lists to update ads/p2p/edu/gov/spy then it is the correct version. If PG2 blocks sourceforge.net/lists/ you will have to allow the IP manually, this was a bug but should be fixed.
lol, the one thing that is weird is that the number of IP's blocked seems to vary wildly: on one computer I have 971 million and on another 1300 million.
this is what i get when doing download

@mifune: looks like its working to me. Its almost the same number of blocked IP's I have, you have 19 more.
what is this pg2 -blocklist's
seems to be stubid question
Its a list of bad ip's that are in their data base for what ever reason and when using it stops you connecting to these ip's when using a BT client
I've been using ipfilter.dat with uTorrent and never had any problem...
Here's how to install it... http://zerotracker.com/torrents-deta...979&filelist=1
