any doctors here willing to help me w/ my science fair project... well i just need a few information...
topic - How does different fruits affect the pH of urine?
what im looking for ---
1) What is the pH of apples?
2) What is the pH of oranges?
(Those are my first 2 tests, probably going to be other fruits)
-- urine ph is about 6 to 7
3) How long does it take for food to be absorbed into the urine?
please pm me if you are willing to help...

that sounds like a pish project
Oranges are acidic, so it'll probably lower the PH a fair bit.
Apples are a little acidic, so it might lower the PH slightly
I'm not sure about this though, never done biology or chemistry myself (I was a physics man)

lol teacher thought that was a good topic
highschool freshmen if anyone wanted to know... 9th grade...
-- still need help!
-
I had to do that same stuff...last semester (9th grade)
Most of that stuff was in my science book, probably will be in yours

thatz a science fair project, you know what that is right? itz not a normal project which the teacher gives to everyone....
-
i would just like to ask what a science fair is and what age you are when you're in 9th grade (I'm pretty clueless i know but i just don't know these things!)
:P

just go out and buy some Litmus paper....
it rates the acidity of thing's it even has a lil counter on the side to verify....
dunno if you have it in usa... but thats what i used in UK

I shall talk to my father today perhaps he may know (chemistry teacher)
