Problems burning downloaded movies to DVD! Pls help
Hi everyone,
I'm new to this board & was recommended to try you for help.
I have downloaded some video files. They are made up on 700-900MB MPEGs & Avis as well as large folders with several different AVI's (ie Married with children series 2).
Whenever I try to burn them to DVD they always become massive. I tried to burn a file that my PC said was 900mb's but when I put it in NERO or ULEAD MOVIE FACTORY it turns into a 4GB file etc. ULEAD won't even accept most of the files I burn.
I have a lot of movies and clips I want to download and it's getting frustrating. I have searched through this site & read the guides but they didn't really help me with the problems I am having.
If possible can someone please tell me what programs I need & give me step by step help. I really appreciate your time.
Thanks a lot,
Nat

No you dont need DVD shrink.
Do you want the files playable on your DVD player? or do you wanna make a backup?

They will get bigger because avi's tend have better compression than dvd format.
Also I would you a program like tmpgenc to change the videos into mpeg2 format before burning with nero cause you have more control of size and quality.
go to www.doom9.org that contains everything need to know about burning dvds.

Thanks for that. I will see how I go & get back to you if I'm still stuck.
Thanks for your help everyone ;0
