Apparently you have no idea how to properly ask for info either.Quote:

Lacking any specific information, I would say that 20C is the ideal temp for anything.
Except filet mignon of course- that is better broiled.
How about 35-38C?
Thats fine
Thats a little on the high end...but its fine
How about it?Quote:

What was the question again?

Yall are so fucking literal lol. That temp is fine, his computer isnt gona explode.
Should run cool enough that the heatsink has frost on it...
:lol:Quote:

christ elven, post the fucking components that make up your box, or the model number, the cpu, anything. All cpu's run at different temp's and have different safe operating temps.
well when no consumer cpu is in the danger zone at 39, i dont believe its a problem.
You're welcome.Quote:

Now, about these temps...are they at idle or load?
How are you cooling the CPU?
What is the room ambient temp?
Simply saying "My CPU is 39c" means very little.
A far more useful piece of info would be "My delta is 10c under load" (where "delta" is the difference between room/case ambient and the CPU temp).
As you might imagine, the actual CPU temp (which you'll never know accurately anyway) will vary depending on the ambient temp whereas the delta remains fairly constant.
Furthermore, the difference between your CPU temp at 0% load and 100% usage is interesting because it gives you an idea how effective your cooling solution is.
The new 90nm AMD chips (like yours) run cooler than the older Athlons...39c would have been a spectacular load temp for an air-cooled 2500 Barton core but is only fair to middling for a Venice x64.
The short answer is- you really have nothing to worry about.
Set your shutdown temp in BIOS to 60C and you'll be fine.
Yhe i have three fans in my case, two at the back blowing out and one at the front blowing onto the mobo (wind goes in one direction) erm...not sure about my room temp but its not too cold and not too hot...get me?...oh and there is a fan blowing on the CPU. If the CPU shuts down due to high temps, does this damage the CPU?
38-41 when i play games (load) and about 35 when is it idle
where do you go to find out what the temperature of your computer is.
There are plenty of monitoring programs around. They usually also tell you things like fan speeds and voltages.Quote:

Always bear in mind that the sensors these readings are obtained from are very cheap devices, so the accuracy is not likely to be very good. That said, you should be looking at changes in values, not the absolute values themselves. For example the cpu temperature shown may be out by several degrees, but the discrepancy between indicated reading and true reading will be about the same whether at idle or full load, so the temperature change will be fairly accurate.
@ Clocker I'm running at 28 is that ok LOL :stars: couldn't resist
