How to make a Search engine

Hi all,

I have small doubt , Does any one know how to make a customized search Google engine for Mozilla ?

You don't want to, but basicly how a search engine works is that, it has "spiders" or "bots" that go on every single site and CACHE them (once a day, or once a week, depending on how good the searchsite is) And when you search, it actually goes through the text cached and finds sites for you. Then again, theres a REALLY complicated algorithm that decides which sites comes first and so on.

So yea, you would need crazy servers / computers for that

what i really intend to do was to make a custom plugin for firefox or IE so that i can search through them and make money at the same time :)

You can apparantly use the plugin you create for firefox AND IE7 :O
