Maybe this should be in software, but i think i have a better chance of getting an answer here:
i made a (small) movie in premiere, and when i export the timeline, i can only pick wav(or pcm, or other variants of wav) to output the sound. Is there a way to use mp3 instead? (with or without a third-party program/plugin)
it would help decreasing the filesize a lot.
tnx

use soundforge to edit your music
mp3s imported fine into premier although i have only done it twice so far
-
but if i export my timeline, won't premiere change everything back to WAV?
-
it might,i realy didnt notice wether it did or not nor did I noticed any difference in the source sound and the output sound
trial and error my friend i suggest you start looking on google for some tutorials on this since i am just getting into using premier over flash as a movie program

here it is:
here
Premiere just can't do it, but virtualdub can...

Vegas 4.0 lets you re save your file as any type of movie file, and you can change the audio to anything you want. including mp3's.

well, that's what virtualdub is for. Is Vegas 4.0 any better at that? And, is it free?
