I tried alot of things already:
Reinstalled Outlook express
Ran ScanDisk
no defrag needed
Ran NortonWinDoc
Tried cleaning out the .dbx files and use fresh ones.
what else?
it takes like 2 mins to open
then it freezes for another min
then it's usable.. what's the deal??
-
Are you sure its just you? Its just taken outlook about 10 mins to load 5 emails for me :(
-
i don't if this helps but if windows messenger is deativated or uninstaled ,will cause out/look to hang slighty on load up. :)
-
How longs this been going on ?
It could be your ISP as I sometimes have to wait ages for it
to kick into life.

ah yes, i disabled windows messenger.. but it used to not do anything.
I'll try enableing it and let u know what happends

Sorry for those having probs w/OE. This isn't a solution. This is an alternative. My choice after being fed up & numerous probs w/OE. I got rid of it. Now within my browsers IE6 & Opera7.03 (it fully integrates into both) I use & quite enjoy Eudora. Eudora is my default email client in both browsers. Outside of my browsers I use ePrompter as a mini email client. This solution works flawlessly for me. :)

What i just want to know is.. is Kazaa Lite running when Explorer is slow?
Or does this happend all the time?
It just makes finding a solution more easy don't you think?
Because Klite with Kazap made my Explorer and Outlook slower.. Klite without Kazap did the oppisite.. it speeded up!
Tell us more okay?
And to quote Cosmok a bit..: Some people load everything they have.. Outlook, Explorer, MSN and you name it at the same time! My basic rule is.. just load the programs that you need the most... think about it!
Windows is Multi Tasking... (Duh!) it's NOT! (really)
Hope it helps.....

Another good email program which can replace OE is Foxmail, which includes Hotmail support (it's what I use).
I like it a lot better than any M$ product.
-
Hey Lamsey, just did a quick search on Foxmail. It doesn't integrate into IE6 or does it? I mean when you click on an email link, does Foxmail pop up? That's what I like about Eudora. Not a pissing contest. Just asking so I can learn. Peace. :)

No, that's the only thing it doesn't do.
But hey, I don't mind using cut and paste. The rest of the program is great and it's freeware.
