Re: Computer Heat in room...
I doubt it will make all that much difference. If it is running at full load, you will probably only save about 10W max. If it isn't running full load it won't even be as much as that.
The thing is to check what else could be giving off heat - the biggest culprit is usually the monitor. Make sure it goes into power saving mode VERY quickly (2 minutes is usually about right). Better still get an LCD monitor.
Another thing that gives out lots of heat is your graphics card - make sure that's not overclocked too. In fact underclocking that except when playing games will probably give you a much bigger heat saving than underclocking the cpu, and will probably be less noticeable.

I restricted all the air vents sept in the av room, should try it.

Liquid cooling. I love it. I only have one fan...and that's in the radiator. :01:

Re: Computer Heat in room...
Dude, your comp must be a BEAST to heat up the room like that.

Re: Computer Heat in room...
nah each fan is at 25dbs...its just a little hum actually. And yes by underclocking i meant the cpu and graphics card. And I always manually turn the monitor off immediatly when im not usuing it..and it does put off a lot of heat, but if i leave my computer on and the monitor off all day it heats my room up like 10 degrees...i like sweat in my room lol
