Kaspersky sucks bcoz this software cant clean virus n spywares that r in *zip* n *rar*
AVG rocks rock on
I'm still a huge fan of Spybot S&D...
im in for spyware doctor
SUPERAntispyware
Kaspersky good
Yes, I aswell use spyware doctor and find it to be very effective and fast. The "Intelli-Scan" rids of a massive amount of spyware really quick.
a-squared free is nice too
Spyware Doctor
I usae Kaspersky, Spybot and HJT. None of my customers complain.
I like spysweeper :)
To catch the most stuff, you really have to run a few different ones, regardless of how good each one is. That said, the ones I use are Spybot S&D, ComboFix, And sometimes AVGantispyware.
i like spysweeper now since they fixed footprint n the resource hog issue. nod32 is excellent, spywareblaster is good and low mem use, spybot ofcourse is always good cept its slow, good use of safexp,xp antispy, safepro allstart, ect...
Spyware Doctor.
Portable AVG Anti Spyware
Why?
well... I have never used the portable version, I use the "regular" one, and it's great! finds everything (better then ad-aware and spy-bot imo, best anti-spyware I used so far)
And it's portable, which means it's a stand-alone app (you don't have to install it, doesn't send thing to the registry, small size)...
You can take it on a disc(on-key?), use it in your client's computer (:P) and go away without leaving anything behind (including spywares :D)
Best solution imho...
windows defender
its better to use two antispywares.. if one deosnt detect a spyware , the other will
/me uses
avg antispyware and spybot s& d
Coming from a computer technician (I've worked in a maintenance shop for a year and in the IT field for 2 years before that):
Start with Spybot S&D, it usually takes care of the problem
If Spybot isn't able to remove everything, or if it comes up clean and you are still seeing clear symptoms of infection move to Ewido and / or AdAware.
Also keep in mind that a large majority of Spyware programs out there now days are coupled with/installed by 'Downloader.' class viruses. If you don't get rid of the viruses first removing they spyware doesn't do you any good as it will be reinstalled by it's partner virus
1)spywareblaster when the windows is fresh
2)kis2006/no kis 2007 and SUPERAntiSpyware.Professional.
3)peerguardian with spyware and ads list activated
try Spyware Doctor
having tried most, spyware doctor is the best imho
You already told it to him here
o_O
Spyware Doctor the best
Lavasofts Adaware pro v7 and Spybot Search & Destroy mate!
SpyBot S&D simple as that !
Spysweeper or Ad-Aware 2007!!!
Ad-Aware 2007
When I clean Spyware, I boot to safemode and run HJT. I disable all the entries that are either spyware or not necessary (look up unknown entries on castlecops.com). This prevents the spyware from starting with the computer, which is what causes the symptoms: pop-ups, slowdown, memory usage, etc. Actually removing the executable files of Spyware isn't a huge deal in my opinion. However, if you are so inclined, Dr. Web's Cure-it does a great job for spyware/trojans/viruses, and it is free. I also second the person who mentioned ComboFix. Running Spybot S&D and those programs can't hurt.
Microsoft Anti-spyware (aka Windows Defender) provides good real-time protection in Vista (and XP if you download it). Also, I'm a huge fan of Spyware Guard and Spyware Blaster from javacool in terms of preventing future infection. Having up-to-date Firefox, Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash Player, Shockwave, and Sun Java Runtime is also highly important. And of course Windows update (which now includes IE7, which is very important... even if the user uses Firefox, some existing Spyware launched IE in the background; having the more secure IE7 can prevent further infection).
Spybot Search and Destroy, and Ad-aware combination works best for me.
Ewido is awesome.
You should have Ad-Aware (Classic), Spybot Seek & Destroy & Spywareblaster in your tool kit. You might want to include HiJackThis & Process Explorer (http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sys...s/default.mspx).
Lavasofts
For a computer technician or according to a computer technician?
For a computer technician, I would say a Registry Editor, the Windows Command line and BartPE. There are no anti spyware more efficient that those tools in the hand of a computer technician.
Otherwise, I think Ad-Aware and spybot S&D work reasonnably well. Do the scans in Safe-Mode, you have more chances of removing spywares.
