Nintendo DS question

Hey guys, I have another quick question about the Nintendo DS system. A friend of mine is DLing games and he is not sure how to play said games on the DS. He told me that he needs to get a micro SD card to transfer the games and asked me if this is true, and I have no freaking Idea. So my question to you guys is this.

Is it as easy as upgrading the firmware via MicroSD card and being able to play these Dled games?

OK so apparently the search yeilded amazing results I see that he will need a R4DS card along with the MicroSD card

My next question is does anyone have a line on the best price available? There is a thread that has it for $30 in this thread but it is out of stock and they don't know when they will be getting any more in. So if anyone has a good deal that would be great thanks

I hear the R4 ds is much harder to get now. I bought mine at dealextreme, myself. Try http://www.realhotstuff.com and http://www.mod-chip.com/ as these are both US modding websites.

Do you know any US sites that do the actually modding though? Great Nintendo DS question that i would like to know as well.:)
