Around 50Kb/s was mine. :(
wots the sad face for i havnt managed to get ova 34kb/s in the 4 hours that ive had it
373.32 KB/s which is 2987.84 Kb/s or almost 3.0 megabits. :)
Are you sure this is the right way round???Quote:

1 Kilobyte = 8 Kilobits
1024 Kilobytes = 1 Megabyte
KB/s = Kilobytes
Kb/s = Kilobits
so 373.32 KB/s is only 1 third of 1 MB/s
Are you sure this is the right way round???Quote:

That would be 1Mb not 1 MByte\\Quote:

Anyways I get same speeds with popular mp3s , 3Mb or 340KB

Its correct
373 KB/s are 2984 Kb/s
3 Mb/s = 3072 Kb/s = 384KB/s
So 373 KB/s are almost 3Mb/s
1Mb/s = 1024Kb/s = 128 KB/s
Right - 3 MegaBITS. Don't see many people talking about MegaBITS.
Sorry, that's just what I'm used to using because when I had 56k every bit counted.Quote:

I'll sound retarded for asking this, but what's the difference between a "bit" and a "byte"? I'm relatively good with computers, but not good enough to actually know about the complicated portions of computers itself.
8 bits = 1 byteQuote:

My fastest speeds I got in shareaza are 27.70 megaBYTES (MB) with 50 sources.
Shareaza is a good alternative for rare files that u can barly find in website, but unfortunately it all depends on the ed2k sucking servers that u connect to and your credit shit, due to uploading to the same server everytime. I only connect to the same one fast server everytime that has alot of sources (I tried most of them I came to the conclu. that servers starting with 207.XX.XX.XX are faster than others and have more sources, but NOT all of them of cources, I suggest you try them).
Most of the downloads are like 1 KB killing me till they finish or stay PENDING.
Actually, it's not too uncommon to see networking and internet connections speeds in megabits.Quote:

Like a 10/100/1000 mbps LAN card, a 1.5 mbps cablemodem, or 10 mbps fiber line.
