i've tried many, but which one is the fastest, i've tried, tmpgenc, win mpg convert, and some shareware ones, but they are all very slow, and some have problems. any suggestions?

All of them are slow. Just something you gotta deal with when you encode movies ;) However, tmpgenc pro seems to be the best and the fastest.
If you think TMPGEnc Plus is slow, the other encoders will drive you nuts! :wacko:
the speed depends on how much ram u got, the more ram you have the faster it will go. i used tmpgenc but now i use arcsoft showbiz which is the best because it can convert to mpeg4 while tmpgenc will only convert to mpeg2
