In-home DNS routing to multiple servers.

Quick update on where I am. So, I've installed WDLXTV on my rather aging WD TV Live.

I have setup RTorrent with multiple RSS feeds and scheduling, my WD TV Live has been assigned a static IP behind my Router, and I have setup a dyndns account leading to my WD TV Live.

Now, I want to route traffic within my home network with the assigned DNS.

I want http://wdlxtv.mydomain.com to route to my WD TV Live Webend, and http://*.mydomain.com (excluding the aforementioned) to route to another mini server I'll be setting up at home.
I figure I can easily get around this issue by setting up a Proxy server on my WD TV Live and having it route to itself on a specific Subdomain, or to my other server for all other domains excluding that specific one.

The problem I encounter is this: I know the solution, I don't know how to go about setting it up. I know that two Proxy servers exist here and here. I'm not sure what configurations I'd need to use, or if it's more easily done to use my main server as my Proxy server or a ton of other things. If anyone can tell me how to set this up, or point me to a guide, I'd be duly indebted. I understand the port basics, the security (non localhost) essentials, and the routing configurations, but have no idea how to go about it. I know the logic, I don't know the mechanism by which the logic is enacted.
