Re: A Pic I Shot Out By The Lake...
I really like the use of flash in the second pic, it composed the trees brilliantly.

Re: A Pic I Shot Out By The Lake...
That's some Hawt, tree on background action right there. I very much like them.

Re: A Pic I Shot Out By The Lake...
That looks really cool.
You might have just made me appreciate a visual form of art, which I had previously considered a very unlikely thing.
Nice one, Doobs.

Re: A Pic I Shot Out By The Lake...
The first one reminds me of something from an underwater documentary.
Good shots on both. Thanks for sharing them, bd! :)

Thank you, manker.
I still can't believe you have accepted a mod position. I'm glad you did, tho. You have brought in some fresh air.

Thanks. The first shot is a macro shot of the tree in the second shot. I liked how it turned out.

That's really lovely! Well done you clever thing you.

Re: A Pic I Shot Out By The Lake...
I think it is really clever the way you persuaded the tree to blossom. Scottish trees would tell you to feck off and come back in a couple of months.
Nice pic tho

Re: A Pic I Shot Out By The Lake...
Can we enjoy some of my pics also

Les, it has been in the low 80's all week. I barely had to talk the tree into it. She was flopping her branches and blossoms all about, like.

Cheers
The me that existed between 2006 and 2009 would have considered it too great a compromise.
It was a means to an end and I still feel a bit uncomfortable about it. It had troubled me that the good people here might not call me a cunt any more.
My fears turned out to be unfounded and, well, we've all got to grow up sometime.

Ziggy's best work is actually the anti-rape squad. Sadly, that appears to have been lost in the misty mists of the internets.

Re: A Pic I Shot Out By The Lake...
With all those five dollars bills Ziggy is considered a millionaire among the trailer park people.

Extravagant, yet not pretentious.

Re: A Pic I Shot Out By The Lake...
B&H are loike seven and a half squids. And that's in Wales.
One of these days, I'm going to wrap a soy bean to a piece of tweed and use it to entice you out of the 80s.

Re: A Pic I Shot Out By The Lake...
I smoke B&H rolling tobacco. It's about £3.60 ($80)

I had to do a bit of growing up myself.
Still do.

Dave has moved his family to a mystical fairy land in order to be safe from Chalice. Doobs found him hiding under some shrubberies. Well done, and very cool, Doobs!

Looks like stills from TLOTR or so ...
Real cool pics. Think I'm going to use that last one as a wallpaper on my portable.
Thx doobs.

How did you get some seagull stuck on your lens?

Re: A Pic I Shot Out By The Lake...
Feeding seagulls Alka Seltzers or other dispersible medication inside chips and watching them blow up is a popliar pastime in rural Scotchland.

I wonder how the seagulls would go on mentos and diet pepsi?

:( Looking like a small smudge left by internal condensation. Bummer! Doesn't impact on pictures with any real activity in them, noticed it taking a phoatie of a grey warship sitting on a blue grey sea surrounded by a grey heat haze. It would have been a striking picture but for the smudge.

You need to dry the lens out, and quickly before fungus begins to form. The best way to do this is with those packs of Silica Gel that come in packaging, you can purchase them if you don't have any lying about. The important this is that the environment needs to be dry in order to lower the condensate inside the lens. Also check for any grey spidery looking lines in the internal elements of the lens, these are fungus forming, if not you can dry out the lens yourself. The Silica Gel paks are also good to keep in your lens bag to keep the environment dry.
