right now, mbm tells me my case is 25C which is good but my cpu is all the way up to 45C which is okay, but i rather have it lower. im looking for a new hsf...preferably noise is low. i already got 2 freakign case fan that sounds like a blow dryer. so anybody got any suggestion? oh, and i dont want to be spending a lot on this thing.
wait, mbm5 case display is jumping all over the place...its at 25 then down to 14, 29, 44, and back down to 21. but my cpu is a steady 44 all this time.

Don't trust that temp. I prefer AIDA32 for my temps.
Any way, goto fosi and get CPUIdle Extreme. Lowers your temp by 10ºC

45°C isn't anything to worry about.
-
Exactly... the limits are closer to the 60 C range... AMDs can run hot, don't worry... only problems are if you are planning to overclock... when overclocking I would say 45 is the higher temp... but unless ou get a better heatsink the fan won't change too much...

nah, its an old comp use for websurfing and cs so i dont think i need to oc. so 44 isnt anythign to worry about? okay, guess ill save the money.
okay, i got another problem, for some reason after i choose "shut down" in win2000, it shuts the comp down but my comp immediatly power up again as if it was restarting not shutting down.

i jsut checked w/ aida32, and my cpu is at 40C idling :( ....but my mobotherboard temp is jumping all over from 7 to a high of 55 :( :( :( is that normal? should i get some extra case fan?

Check in your BIOS to me sure those readings are accuarate :)

my bios only have reading for cpu and the cpu reading is accurate, but i odnt know about the mobo...after i turn system off, i touch the mobo heatsink and its a bit warm...its not hot, its just warm

Bump !!!
btw, waht happen to teh forum?

It is ok... metal only melts at temperature that would burn your hand, so you are ok... No worries...
Ok as for the shutdown i have no clue... hmm...
