I've heard a lot about the fat32 problem where your DL stops when it reaches
4GB. Before i start mine i would like to know if there is any way around it using the Windows ME os ?
thanks

i think the only way to stop this is to go to XP and use ntfs - though the limit only applys for single files of >4GB, so if your dl is multiple files (eg vobs for a dvd-r) then youll be ok.
most files you download above 4GB are multiple rar files. then you can download it if you use FAT32, but you are not able you extract the file.
If you have multiple files in the rar for example 4 files of 1 GB then you are able 2 extract them 1 at a time.
offtopic.
why do they make it in mutiple files?
so u can extract them :l it wont let u extract one huge 4 gig file
Newsgroups has a filesize limit, and it shows up on newsgroups first. (most of teh time)Quote:

Edit: scribblec I dont think theres a problem extracting a 4gb file on XP
