Its a advanced utility used to clone hard disk drives, creating backup images of a hard disk drive. Using this utility network administrators can easily distribute software across a broad range of computers with all the same configurations.
Norton Ghost allows for a hard disk drive image to be created to a second hard disk drive, CD-R, CD-RW or direct to another PC using USB or TCP/IP.
it also supports FAT16, FAT32 and NTFS.
edit: u shud have looked on the symantec site http://www.symantec.com/sabu/ghost/ghost_p...l/features.html
It is an excellent program, I recommend it highly.
After a format/install, add all your normal programs, adjust your settings/preferences, get all the Windows updates, then clone your new shiny setup onto another partition.
If you ever have a problem with your main (C:) drive you now have perfectly good (complete) backup ready to go. Takes only minutes to restore your OS back to new.
Wow, cool the only prob is that i need another 80Gig HDD :(
Why is that?
Your OS and programs probably don't take more that 5-7 GB.
mine took 27gig with ghost :o

Did you include the entire Library of Congress?
Shrink the partition to within 15% of full and compress anything you can before using ghost. It doesn't make any sense to ghost the free space.
