I am going to learning a web scripting language. Which one will give me the most flexibility and versatility for my buck.
I'd have thought JavaScript was by far the most popular scripting language so I'd have to recommend that. Or if you're including ActionScript (Flash's scripting language) and/or are interested in making small games then download Flash (I'd recommend version 8 over the more recent CS3 and CS4 versions) and learn ActionScript. There are tonnes of tutorials for AS and JS on the net.
