How do I save a .psd file as an animated .gif?
Ok, I recently took a 9 sec long movie from a game (in Gameworld there is a link to the regular sized movie that I made) and I wan't to save the animated .psd file as an animated .gif so I can use it in my avatar. Can one of u Photoshop or ImageReady buffs tell me how to do this? Thx. :01:
Re: How do I save a .psd file as an animated .gif?
Put it in a folder of its own
Open Imageready
File > Import > Files as frames
Make sure everything is set how you want it (frame order, frame length, etc.)
File > Save optimized as... > name it and select .gif
:)

Most of that stuff is easy, it's the figuring it out the first time that's hard. :frusty:
Re: How do I save a .psd file as an animated .gif?
OMG, thx. Now how can I made the file a smaller size, cause right now its just under 1mb?
EDIT: Ok, took a few frames out and resized it but its still about 500KBs. Any ways to make it smaller?

Yeah, check the optimize palette. There's some useful options that can help you reduce the size. Use mate, transparency, etc.
And remember, always use Optomized Save if you are ready to publish, it reduces file size.
edit: nice av  Is that one you made?

@ David622- How did u change the color of those clouds in Photoshop?
Re: How do I save a .psd file as an animated .gif?
If I remember correctly, you just set the primary and secondary colors before you choose the cloud filter.
