How to use second IP address on Debian
I'm trying to add a second IP address to use on my new seedbox but I''m not sure if what I found on google is what i need to do
www.ubuntugeek.com/ubuntu-networking-configuration-using-command-line.html
The section about setting up the second IP list this:
auto eth0:1
iface eth0:1 inet static
address 192.168.1.60
netmask 255.255.255.0
network x.x.x.x
broadcast x.x.x.x
gateway x.x.x.x
What I'm confused about is what goes into the X's. What stays the same and what needs to be changed?

Network, broadcast, and gateway should have the same values as your eth0

Hmm cool doesn't seem to be anything to change. Maybe the provider configed it already? We'll I'll have to see what happens when i get my second ip from my other seedbox. Thanks naq.
