Verizon FiOS, anyone have experience?

Has anyone had any experience with Verizon FiOS Internet service? I hear you can get 50mbps Down/ 20mbps Up, Fiber optic internet service.

Please let me know if anyone has used this, or has this service. Trying to get some information on it before I inquire on purchasing it.

I'm also curious about this Internet service, sounds pretty nice and so far seems to be the fastest individual plan offered in US.

The only experience I've had is finding out it's not available in my area and probably never will be. That was a sad day, sigh...
