I'm trying to find a trojan scanner to download, if anyone knows where I can get one that would be greatly appreciated. I downloaded Clone cd from Shareaza and got a virus, quarantined it but my norton said there was still 1 file on my computer that couldn't be accessed for quarantine or deletion. So if someone knows what I need to do that would be great. :D
You need "HijackThis", and do a scan. Be careful not to remove anything that isn't supposed to be removed.

It sounds like a compressed file! Norton can't delete those . So untill you open again you may be safe? Check your download folder , is the clone cd zip file there? Just delete it. A trojan scan would be a good idea , just incase something piggy backed with it.

Disable System Restore Utility (Windows XP Users)
Right click the My Computer icon, click on Properties.
Click on the System Restore tab.
Put a check mark next to 'Turn off System Restore on All Drives'.
Click the 'OK' button.
You will be prompted to restart the computer. Click Yes.
Repeat the steps except remove the checkmark at 'Turn off System Restore on All Drives'.
This will create a clean restore point.
Scan with NAV, if anything shows up please post the file path.

He probably got what I had a few days ago. An infected cabinet file (*.cab) and Norton detected it but couldn't remove it. It secretly uploaded itself without my permission. Those viruses are quite sneaky. I found an INF file associated with it, and opened it with Notepad to see what it was.Quote:

You should delete all of the clonecd files youi downloaded...listen to peat moss. :P
and change your antivirus. any other program wouldn't have let the virus infect anything. stupid norton.
