To have Neil, Echidna, Clocker, Sara (Whom I thought was dead) and J2K4 in agreement in the same thread gives you celestial powers and me the shivers.
Please use these powers to preserve your sanctuary.
I am blowing the wind in the opposite direction as i do my "rain dance".
Is it working, MN?
I'm not entirely certain. The fire itself is about 6x the size it was before; indeed, it's only 5km away from here. But it's been pretty calm all day/night, so it hasn't advanced much since last day.
:ninja:
that's not all bad MN remember that burned out land is your friend 'cause it can't fuel further fire fronts
have you got all your gutters full of water?
Hi everyone!!
It's been quite a while since I since I've been hear.
I really missed you guys(even echidna)!
I would'nt worry about the fire because I hear it's only a class C fire.
Use some Ketchup!
Hey! I saw my house on the news! Cool! ;)
We're not able to use any water; it's all going to the fire trucks.
 If the land's burnt, so's my house. I'd rather not have to rebuild, thank you. ;)
It's over 13,000 hectares (31,200 acres) in size, S&A - that's far more than the 10-99 acres that classifies a "Class C" wildfire. And growing.
The wind's picked up again; if I'm still here tomorrow or the next day, I'll be suprised. ;)
:ninja:
Oh...boy MN.....if all Canadians were to blow in the same direction...maybe you could blow the fire into the US!!! lol. (no offence intended there yankie maties)
@ Hobbes.......I am fine thanks for asking...been rather busy on my return to the UK. I hope to be able to pop in and rejoin the mud wrestling with you guys periodically.
 That'd be funny. Except that there's already a large forest fire burning on the line. Wildfires for everyone! Priced to clear.
:ninja:
i'm suprised, prepared houses are not that hard to protectQuote:

and beleive me if you can protect your house while spot fires reduce fuel loads around you, you end up in a much better position
is water short then? no fire dams?
i've watched north americans get torched every couple of years while half of aus burns annually and we mostly only suffer property loses, the majority of property protection during fires is done by property occupants
good luck MN
