    Question Mark

    I am looking into getting a dedicated server through server.lu but I am concerned about the FTP speeds back here to the US.

    Anyone have any experience with this?
    Or does anyone have a link to a test file to test speeds?

    Thanks, Carl

    Server.lu are simply OVH re-sellers. Therefore OVH owners can give advice as well

    Can you provide some proof of this?

    This thread and their website say otherwise:

    Ah sorry i read the name wrong. With all the server/seedbox domains i thought it was a different one. Anyhow on sct server.lu has been discussed and most have had good experiences from them.

    As for the speed to the US, i've no idea.

    for ftp transfers i get around 200 kb/s and im on the west coast. normals speeds for torrenting are a solid 11+ mb/s as long as it has the peers for it. these servers are fucking beasts though, better then anything ive ever used from ovh.

    @interwebz

    200kb/s is pretty slow, what kind of connection are you on?

    Server.lu doesn't have the same "non-SLA" rules than OVH for other networks. About us isp, maybe you can ask them what kind of links they use.

    Yea but download with 10 or 15 ftpthreads and you have 2500-3000kb/s
