seems like a crappy concept to have no ratio and open signups.. why not run a public tracker instead? with this you store information about the users for no reason at all.

Is it late nite or u r usually this slow? Open signups dsnt mean that the tracker will have them for eternity ... Its for a time period to allow some users to get in to bring some life into it .. while the term public itself entails no signup required .. however.. if these are new sites and have open signups in order to get things going, ratiofree would suck. mainly because it requires a vast majority of the userbase to be quality members, and open signups is usually not the way to go to build such a userbase..
