If its a genuine reason then i cant imagine why not. Best solution would be to check their forums for a similiar question or maybe pm admin there. I recently changed my email at Revtt without any problems...

I guess they can find out for sure when they will change the email address.
Imo better contact the staff first and then change the email if the intentions are genuine.
But because they asked first here, I think they simply want to trade their account.
