teams get punished for going over the salary cap that way this is even more serious

yes and be 0-1 but would that also make the jets 0-1? It wouldnt make a difference anyway that team looks unstoppable this year regarless if they cheat

NEW YORK — New England coach Bill Belichick was fined the NFL maximum of $500,000 Thursday and the Patriots were ordered to pay $250,000 for videotaping an opponent's offensive and defensive signals.
Commissioner Roger Goodell also ordered the team to give up next year's first-round draft choice if it reaches the playoffs and second- and third-round picks if it doesn't.
"This episode represents a calculated and deliberate attempt to avoid longstanding rules designed to encourage fair play and promote honest competition on the playing field," Goodell said in a letter to the Patriots.

No. It would the give the Jets the win.
Of course it is. However, you can't use video recording equipment or, to my knowledge, things like parabolic mics.
I think they should have lost draft picks, had a hefty fine, and forfeited the game.
It would have been perfect to make an example of a team that has had 3 SB wins in this decade and it would have given a win to a rival coach in the same division.
That could have made a difference in the playoffs.

you couldnt make them 0-1 because they didnt lose the game though and the jets didnt win it
NE should stay at 0-0 if its win taken away and the jets at 0-1
well.. thats kinda the way its done here if a team trys to cheat for example have more players on the field they have competition points taken away from them (2 for a win ) and thats it
giving the Jets the win isnt fair for other teams going for a playoff game if they finish level
