Thread: what should i use to clean off thermal paste?

    a q-tip? a broom? ive never done this before and id like some advice before i get into it

    I just use rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip. There's probably a better way to do it but Q-tips are just so convenient

    i use rubbing alcohol with coffee filters. works great. recommended

    99% Isopropyl alcohol & Q-tips. 99% = faster evaporation.

    I use Arctic Silver's ArctiCleaner kit- cleaner and surface prep in two bottles.

    Prior to that I used acetone followed by isopropyl alcohol.

    right but thats why hes the man. i read his posts even if im not at all interested in the topic (i.e. it doesnt apply to me)...i know that at some point the wisdom gained will come in handy

    He is prob te best we have here @ FST and certainly the most dedicated to specs, but god help you if you don't have a screenshot Honestly I wonder how many members he has helped in his time here? Not to mention on JG forums and whatever uber-nerd forums he is a member of. I want to be Clocker when I grow up
