Thread: What Would Be My Ideal Client Settings?

  1. #1
This might sound really n00bish but what would be the best settings for download and upload in uTorrent.

I have always had it set up to Download: Unlimited/Upload: 17kb/s because I chose the 192 option in the speed test when you first install it.

But I don't think it's right and I think I need to get more out of my client.

I just took a speed test and these are my results

What ISP are you with, and on what tariff?

You will get a different result with speedtest every day, and possibly every hour.

ISP is Virgin Media and i'm only 1MB even though VM state 2MB is now thier minimum

I can't stand Virgin and want to leave they slow my speeds down to practially nothing at certain times of the day

    Just a though... but

Global max number of connectioins - 100
max num of connected peers per torrent - 10
upload slots per torrent - 1

leave dl/ul both at maximum full speed
