Is a BRRip high definition or is it just a xvid ripped off of a BluRay at normal quality? An example is

It is an encoded xvid but that version I believe is 480p which would not compare to the quality of a be a untouched blue ray at 1080p.

BDRip means the source that was used was Bluray instead of DVD....so no it's technically not Hi-Def, but IMO, BDRip and BRRips always look better than DVDRips, and yes there still in XviD format, which makes them playable anywhere.Originally Posted by jdhoskins
