I just purchased a new ati radeon aiw 9800 pro, i uninstalled the drivers to my old card and turned off the computer. after doing this, i rebooted and it comes to my logon scrren but only show the xpize background/wallpaper. there's no window in the middle with the user accounts. Just the background. I tried booting in safe mode. I need help because I'm desperate to want to try out my new card!!!!!!

for those who dont know, XPIZE is a theme pack which changes icons, log on screen and etc.

Hopefully there is a way to fix it without formatting

Presumably you have plugged in the required molex connector on the card?

    OK then.
Replace the old card and see if you can enter Windows with it again.

Even with no brand specific drivers installed Windows should use it's legacy drivers to open and allow you to work.

Is the 9800 a new card?
    Edit:
NM, it looks like it is a new card....

It's probable that the ATI website has newer drivers than those on your disk.
