Sure enough that next Friday I got a call from a towing company.

The police officer said that it's becoming common now for people to take older cars and just use them for gas and than dump them.

The towing co. wanted me to pay something like 300.00 dollars to get my car out of impound. I said fuck it, and let them keep it. Since then I've been carless, and it's been really awsome. Portland has a great public transportation. It costs 1.40 for two hours of riding. I'm healthier and happier.

Solution to the gas crisis = Stop driving!
You're healthier from riding the bus? I walk most places I go. (store,
pay bills, friends, band practice and to the bank.) However, the school
I attend is an hours drive and most of the job sites I work at are at least
an hour away from our shop.

While I see your point...it's not always practical. (There is no public transportation where I live.)

    Peace bd

Yes, but I tend to kill a lot of hedges on my stagger home instead.
I once watch a pissed up women using the hedges on the front of peoples houses to hold herself upright when she was walking down the road. I bet she did`nt find it funny when someone had left their gate open and she was left there on the floor with her legs up in the air.

    Hedges - infested with vermin.

    Good on ya, Chebus.
I plan on beating him to death with his kids. I'll use them as a bludgeon on his face. -

I really should grow out of my "hedge-diving" antics.

Hmmm...let me see, you have a little hissy fit over paying 5.89 a gallon...I did a little research into Atlanta gas prices, and have come to the conclusion that you have no one to blame but yourself. I found 15 different station with prices of 2.50 or less per gallon. And mind you, these are only those REPORTED with those prices. And look, there are 14 reported more with prices 4.00 or less.

Today's city average is 2.88 a gallon, 0.02 more than the national average.
Yesterday's city average was 2.61 a gallon, 0.02 more than the national average.

    You're just too danged gullible.

Correct I'm sickened & ashamed of my government.

Just talked to an old friend. He served in Viet Nam. I mentioned how disgusted I am at the poor response of my US government for the victims of Katrina. He said people are dying needlessly of dehydration. I asked him to explain. He said in Viet Nam they had Erdlator(s) that are capable of purifing the nastiest water into pure water. They can be mounted easily on trucks or stationary. They purify 5,000 gallons of water an hour. Why isn't there 10-20 or more of these on the ground?

I bet if Washington or Texas had been devastated by some natural disaster the responsewould have been far quicker and decisive

All spelling mistakes and grammatical errors in my post's are intentional.
