I see alot of vBulletin torrents on several tracker sites. Is there any need to actually pay for the software? If so, how much money is recovered from ads such as the ones on this server?
I'm looking to change forums on our gaming clan website since we have crappy IPB at the moment.

if you download it, you cannot get any support from the vBulletin.org.
the money we make from the ads depends on how many unique visits we get.

Biggest problme I see with downloading it is like ike said no support and no hacks from vbulletin.org, ad another thing is when updates come out you have to wait for it to come up on p2p apps before u can update.
