Oh, you're still on the "money over life" thing?

Can anyone argue that law-enforcement would have been as desirable as any life-saving efforts, what with the lawlessness that pervaded after Katrina?

I'm not just talking about looting, guys-people who had life-saving intentions were scared away by the presenting danger of marauding shootists and other low-lifes.

I am most emphatically NOT advocating saving Wal-Mart's wares over any life-saving effort.
