Why does internet explorer run so much smoother than FF

Opera's D/L manager bites by the way .

yeah it has it's faults just like anything, but still a decent browser
didn't know it went freeware all the way,
I still have a not-so-free version from a while back
may have to visit Opera's site and check it out

and as to wether or not IE or FF is faster......

I use OperaGet & can use any of a half dozen or more dl managers. I use Net Transport with Opera. Works perfect. Opera imo is the best of the 3 by far.
