    Try this program: Unlocker

Be careful that you aren't trying to delete vital files though.

the dos file has been there for a while like week so thats alot of rebooting,

one file is some dos prog i got from some site
the second thing is the weird amazon thing "hurl.exe"

all the files are on my desktop they are not system files

even if you rename anything (like a txt document) to a ".exe" you can't delete it

the unlocker says its connected to c:\winnt\explorer.EXE

Just go into task manager -> end explorer.exe -> click on file>run>type 'cmd' -> press enter -> type 'del c:\file.exe' where C:\file.exe is the path to the file -> click on file -> run again -> explorer.exe this time -> done

You can also try GiPo@Utilities. Always works for me.
