Thread: CPU usage increases

  1. #1
I noticed something strange. Whenever I connect to internet my CPU usage goes to 100 % (from normal usage of 10%). And, yes, it is no hacking problem. There are no incoming conenctions nor outgoing connections to my PC.
Infact the CPU usage increases right from the calling to ISP starts (i m a dial-up user.)

is it normal or somethign is wrong?

I remember having this same problem, back when I had 16 megabytes of ram.

The problem solved. The problem was caused due to my AVG antivirus. As I diabled it everything became normal.

Was it scanning, or just idle?

    What is your CPU?

Nops, Sorry. The problem was not with ANTIVIRUS. It was with a helper file installed with my modem . I just exited this file and everythign goes normal.
