I had to run System Restore, I only took it back 1 day. now I have lost a few files that I had created between the check point and the restore point. Is there any way to get these files back, or are they gone for ever.
the good news is the restore fixed my problem

That's why you always create a restore point prior to falling back on an old one.

yes i think you can undo restore's

search google for "undo restore point" or something like that.

or just launch system restore and i think that may have trhe option to undo from the radio dial selections

Yes, I did undo the system restore (very easy)
I got it all worked out
The Problem I had in the first place that prompted me to restore the computer involved not letting me connect to the internet/network or burn a back up CD/DVD
So I had to figure out how to back up my files (witch I did) and re-restore my computer back a day
