Don't need drivers with the Via chip either, except for raid. It just doesn't work.

It'll be a couple of days before I get round to testing the bios upgrade.

Edit: or even longer, I just got an email saying there's a delay on getting my new processor

I can see how drivers would superfluous to a chip that won't work anyway.
Time for a new board maybe?

    Hi

I just installed a 3rd hard drive, I have 2 IDE drives and one SATA.

I had one hell of a job getting it going. But now it is and It is brilliant very fast.

My AWARD BIOS recognises it as a Serial device on boot up, but it goes past so fast it is hard to see it some times. Then I had to install my SATA driver that came with my mbo and then re-install XP again.

Let me know if you want some help there !

    regards
